Airbnb competitor Casai shutters its doors in Mexico and Brazil

Despite angel investment from DST Global, Monashees, Nicky Goulimis and Weclikd, the Airbnb competitor Casai says it’s withdrawing from the Mexico and Brazil markets. Casai billed itself as a guest experience in Latin America designed for travelers of the future. But now, according to reporting by El Economista in Mexico, Casai has sold off its operations in both countries to separate entities that will continue to rent its luxury properties.
